Panasonic RD250 Automatic Bread Maker with Fruit/Nut Dispenser
Deserves more than 5 stars
I purchased this particular machine less than a week ago because all the reviews were so positive. Now I know why, and I'd give it more than 5 stars if that was a choice. The Panasonic SD-RD250 is just SO easy to use, so easy to clean up, and the booklet that comes with it is most helpful. My first Basic White Rapid loaf was too airy, so I looked up the reason why, used more flour for the 2nd loaf, and it came perfect. I haven't owned a bread machine since the first one I had bit the dust almost 2 decades ago, so I didn't realize how much the technology had improved. I have a whole wheat loaf baking right now and it smells heavenly :-) My family and I love home made bread, and with so little effort we can have fresh bread, with no hidden ingredients, on a daily basis. I love this machine.

Exellent Bread Maker
I got this PANASONIC Bread Maker a few weeks ago. It is excellent. Makes bread in as little as 2 hours! It does not have a window but the manual says they did not put a window so that the top of the bread would be nice and crispy. And it is true. It does make a huge difference.
The PANASONIC is a little smaller than the size of a regular storage box if you lay the box on its side. It is tall with small foot print. The look is your standard Japanese white plastic appliance look. It is NOT ugly, but best kept in a corner.
Controls are easy. 1- choose bread type, 2-choose bread size, 3-choose crust, 4-enter time you want the bread to be ready at,5-press start.6-go to bed!
You can make a small or large bread. I have only made small bread with about 3 cups of all purpose flour. for me it is great. But I have just bought some bread and pastry flour to try. I need to find more recipes.
I was actually going to buy another stainless steel Bread maker from ZOJIRUSHI. But then I saw a VIDEO Review on Amazon that showed the bread from PANASONIC was larger and crispier than the bread made Zojirushi. My bread looks exactly like the bread in that video.
The nut dispenser is great. I overload it with nuts, raisins, cranberry, other dry fruit and it mixes it up at the right time. Flax seeds are also good.
It also makes dough for pizza and baguettes. But since I have a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, I have not used the PANASONIC for dough making. I will report on that if I ever get around to it.
